My focus has been on transportation issues lately, since I am now chair of both East Atlanta Community Association's Transportation and Pedestrian Safety Committee, and NPU-W's Transportation Committee. As I began to look over the transportation planning terrain in Atlanta and the metro area I realized how little I really knew about the current state of affairs. After the AJC ran an article on the new Transit Planning Board, and realized I'd better spend some time playing catchup. As I read documents I'll post links to any which may be of general interest. At first I probably won't comment on them, but as I get a better grasp of how the planning process is really being carried on I'll post some observations.
The first document I've found which may be of interest is the Atlanta Regional Commission's Citizen's Guide to Regional Land Use and Transportation Planning. (Click this link to view the PDF document)
