This bike is destined to get me purged from the ranks of vehicular cyclists, given its dangerous top tube shifters, and the flat pedals, neither clipped nor clipless. It's my short distance photography bike, and it does have it's virtues. It's a Raleigh from the "build it overseas as cheaply as possible" years. Its virtues are a) its been very dependable. When I do pre-ride checkout I've seldom had to make major adjustments b) it fits me like a glove c) I picked it up at a thrift store for 4 dollars.
I originally bought it with the intent of converting it to fixed gear, but it filled a "jump on it and ride" niche among my bikes, so it's still with me, scary shifters and all.
Next time I'll redeem myself by posting a shot of my old Bianchi or my equally old Peugeot.
