Cabbagetown Houses
A realtor friend of mine once asked me in bewilderment why housing prices were beginning to
skyrocket in Cabbagetown. His exact phrase was "the housing stock is lousy there". This exchange pretty much summed up the cultural gap between the two of us. After mulling it over I figured out what constituted lousy housing stock in his world view. Old tiny houses, tiny yards, no room for three baths or a master bedroom. The obvious answer to his question was "because a lot of people want to live there".
