Cooltown Studios blog

Whenever I feel my New Urbanist tendencies drifting toward the stodgy, and I feel I'm exhibiting too low tolerance for any building or neighborhood constructed after 1930, I wander over to the Cooltown Studios blog.  This site was actually one of the two blogs which familiarized me with the potential of blogging (the other was John Massengale's Veritas et Venustas).  While the photos posted there are a bit different from the older urbanism so dear to my own heart, it still looks like good and interesting urbanism and seems pitched at the young members of the "creative class".  An article on a new town called Prospect
outside Boulder Colorado was recently posted to the site.

Orthodox Heresy

Reid Davis, a neighbor of mine here in East Atlanta who shares my New Urbanistic proclivities, has a very interesting blog.  He covers a wide range of topics (actually much wider than I cover in my own blog), from religion to culture to beer.  In addition he seems to seek out other interesting blogs, which aids in the creation of networks of "blogrolls" which is a large part of the fascination of blogging.  His blog is called Orthodox Heresy.  Click here to visit.

It's probably primarily that Peter Lindberg's site almost always includes material on two of my favorite topics, cities and software development, and often presents one as a metaphor for the other, but Peter Lindberg’s Weblog/Blog: Tesugen is
one of my favorite blogs to browse either late evening or early morning, when I just want my mind to have a good workout on a variety of interesting topics.
